Welcome to the Pastor's Corner!

In 2007, Mark Holeman began pastoring at First Baptist Church.  He previously served as an assistant pastor for 10 years in Colorado.  He is a graduate of Faith Baptist Bible College (Ankeny, IA) and Central Baptist Theological Seminary (Plymouth, MN.)  In 1993, Jann and Mark were happily married (and remain so!)  Mark’s hometown is Waterloo, IA (famous for John Deere) and Jann’s is Austin, MN (famous for Hormel, makers of SPAM.)  The family joke is as follows:  “On Jann’s side of the tracks they made SPAM, on Mark’s side, they ate SPAM.”  They have two boys and a girl:  Christian, Adam and Laura.   The Holeman family has various interests including playing basketball, biking, watching sports (mainly football!), playing games, reading and trying new things.  In all of these activities, we try to practice this verse:   Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him—Colossians 3:17.
